I was at first dubious, as the product appeared too good to be true, but felt for the price it was worth a risk. I AM VERY glad I chose to buy. My oven seal had partly pulled from the housing and was causing my wife problems with cooking. So following the very detailed idiot proof guide I set about repairing the seal, I was pleasantly surprised to see the whole kit was really 2 in 1 and after 15 minutes my seal was back in place, we left it about 36 hours before trying anything and I now have a repaired oven and a very happy wife, her Yorkshires rise again. Cannot praise the kit enough for value, usability and delivery time. Would use again without hesitation |

| ovendoorglue: We can’t say that we have come across every possible problem with oven doors, but we have certainly come across many, and are always pleased to give suggestions and advice as to how they may be resolved. In Pauls case, it was an oven where the hinge had lost some of its power, and was not pulling the door closed fully. The hinges were obsolete and not available. We first checked some of our own stocks. Over the years, in advising customers, and in order to learn ourselves, we have accumulated several hundred used oven doors, and so it is quite possible we will have a spare part that may otherwise not be available, or even where it is, we may be able to offer at a considerable saving to the new part. Unfortunately we did not have this specific door at the time, and the hinges appear to have been used on only two models of Hotpoint ovens, so were unable to provide replacement hinges. Through a series of emails we suggested possible alternatives, and possible methods of repairing the existing hinge. As Paul did not want to go down that route, our final suggestion was that strong magnets were glued to the oven, using our oven door glue, to pull the door closed the final part, and hold it shut. This is the route that Paul took, and as can be seen from his review, left 6 months after the repair, it has worked. |

| ovendoorglue: Oven handles come in all different shapes and materials. Some may be more suitable for repair than others. The most difficult tend to be the “towel rail” type of handle where only the posts attach to the door, and so there is very limited gluing area. This is often made worse by the fact that the back of the handle, where it joins to the oven, is often hollow, and so the gluing area is even smaller. In such circumstances, to obtain the best possibility of a lasting repair, we would recommend that you look to fill the hollows on the back of the handle with glue, until flush with the back of the handle. you may need to do this in stages, each layer no more than 5mm deep, allowing each layer to cure before adding another. This method considerably increases the gluing area to the plastic, as the glue is bonding to the sides of the hole, as well as the bottom. You then have a larger surface to glue to the glass. The glue gives a better bond to glass compared to plastic, and so increasing the bonding area on the plastic in this way is important. We are always happy to give advice and if you are hoping to repair an oven door handle, it might be best to talk to us first, and we will give an honest appraisal as to the likelihood of success. |

I have glued the handles and the glass fronts to both ovens now. The first one I did was over five years ago and it is still holding fast the other one I did last year and this too is OK. Follow the easy to understand instruction and I left them to set for 36 hours before using the oven. I previously used araldite and others and they were useless in the heat .This oven glue kit I really rate. |

| I was initially sceptical of using the glue and was thinking of buying a new seal. However, the price difference made me consider using the glue first. It came with everything you need and it was a quick and easy job to do. The problem of the seal between the inner glass and the door on Hotpoint, Creda and Indesit ovens (they are all made by the same group), as well as some other ovens is a common one. We regularly hear from customers that have gone to the expense of buying a new seal for this problem, only to find the same thing happens. One customer even advised me that they called out Hotpoint to fit it, only for the seal to come away again within days. The glue is a long term solution to this annoying problem that having occurred once, appears to happen regularly. |

In providing the kit we have had to balance shelf life with achieving the highest quality for the repair in mind. As we know that most purchasers want to carry out their repair as soon as possible, we have opted for quality over shelf life, hence the recommendation to use within 90 days. After 90 days, if the glue is stored in a cool and dry location, it may still be possible to use the glue. We recommend that you squeeze a pea sized ball of glue onto some A4 paper and leave overnight. If in the morning the glue is not tacky but rubber like, and when cut through it has cured throughout the full thickness, it should still be usable. If the glue is till tacky, do not use it. |

You need a slightly steady hand to do the bead of glue round the edge, but it really wasn’t difficult. I ordered an extra tube of glue, which was needed as the bead for the glass is quite thick. Worth getting anyway as it’s only a few quid, just in case! |

| I used the Oven Door Glue to reattach the inner door glass panel. I had previously paid someone to fix it for me, this ‘fix’ lasted 4 months before it fell out again. After finding this product online I decided to give it a go. I was not disappointed. The kit includes everything you need to prepare the surface and easily apply the glue. 1 year on and the glass is still firmly attached, and as the glue is black it is not visible through the front panel (the previous fix was ugly white splodges of glue). I bought 2 just in case but 1 was more than enough for the job. All in all this is a great product at a brilliant price and I would highly recommend it to anyone considering a similar fix. |

Hurrah! The kit came with everything I could possibly need and more – simply slackened the door seal tension by undoing its corner fixings, degreased everything, squirted in the sealant, joined it together, waited 48hrs to be on the safe side, and ta-dah! Job done, minimal hassle. I cleaned out the nozzle by using a few toothpicks to poke down and around it, so I can hopefully reuse the syringe of sealant should I need to. Also love the fact that it was delivered in a letterbox-friendly package – brilliant! |

| I took the oven door apart as it seemed to be loose at the bottom end of the door , I soon realised that the hinge type brackets had become tired and ddetached , I trawled through the Internet looking for something to fix this problem and came across an all inclusive kit including the glue , I used this as per instructions and hey presto it worked wonders , it seems that most glass oven doors are fixed in this way so don’t despair it’s easy to repair yourself |

| Kit arrived quickly and glue in an easy to discharge syringe. I did find it quite hard to squeeze glue out but that was probably a good thing. The end of the syringe fitted neatly into the very small groove in the rubber surround but unable to see how much glue had been squeezed in. I was conscious of how much time I had before glue went off but managed ok. But the results were great seal fixed firmly in place. Great product would highly recommend. |

| ovendoorglue: Many models of Hotpoint ovens (and also Indesit and some Creda ovens as they are all made by the same company group) have a removable inner glass that can be taken off for cleaning. This glass sits on a rubber type seal. However after the first removal of the glass it can be impossible to keep the seal in place when the glass has been replaced. After a few days the seal can pull away from under the glass. We have had countless customers that have experienced this problem, some have even tried a new seal, thinking that will solve the problem, only to find it happens just the same with the brand new seal. The oven seal glue will solve the problem for you, sticking the seal into position, so that it no longer pulls away and you can forget those thoughts of having to buy a new oven just because of a seal! |

An internet search revealed “The Oven Door Glue Kit” which I ordered and used. I have to say it did a fantistic job. I thoroughly degreased the seal and the door area on to which it is fitted, applied the glue following the instructions. The seal has remained in place for monts now. Would recommend this product without hesitation. |

Eddie and Ros could not have been more helpful. Due to my inexpert approach I made a meal of the job, but despite that and with Eddie’s patient advice I completed it successfully and the oven door’s perfect again. Because of the design of the inner oven door, I ran a little short of adhesive – there is a channel about a couple of mms deep where the glass contacts the metal and this needs an extra bit of glue so might be worth checking out first – or just get an extra tube. I was able to squeeze the glue in to fill the couple of air spaces I’d left, and again job was good. Thanks for all the help Eddie. |

Purchased the oven door glue kit some months ago (quite a few). The glass front on the oven door had come unstuck. Like other people I was a bit wary of the claims made. The glue kit arrived promptly with full instructions. I found instructions on the internet on how to remove the oven door. Cleaned the hinge and glass well to remove all traces of grease etc. Applied the glue as per instructions and the door/glass is secure today as the day it was purchased. Well worth the money. |

| ovendoorglue: We know that most customers intend to carry out their repair reasonably quickly. In providing the kit we have had to balance quality of adhesive with storage life of the unused glue. It would be possible to go for a longer storage life, but quality of adhesive would be sacrificed. As we know the glue is purchased with a specific, and usually urgent repair in mind, we believe that the highest quality of adhesive is what most customers will want, rather than shelf life, and so as a small business selling directly, and not having to worry about extended distribution chains requiring long shelf life, that is what we have aimed for. We recommend that the adhesive is used within 90 days of receipt. If you wish to store the adhesive for longer than 90 days, wrap in a polythene bag and keep in a very cool place such as a fridge. Before using the adhesive after 90 days storage squeeze a small bead onto some paper and leave overnight. If in the morning the adhesive has cured to a rubber like material, throughout its thickness, and is not tacky, it can still be used. |

| The seal behind the inner door glass kept coming away, and no matter how tight (or loose) the screws/clips retaining the inner door glass were tightened. Not sure this seal is supposed to be glued, it appears that it should be removable for cleaning etc, but as it wouldn’t stay put, it had to be glued. | Main door glass barely attached, both oven handles off, replacement spares alone would cost in excess of £130 and looming question over what would fail next, conclusion time to replace the oven? A friend suggested buying the glue kit over the internet. I was sceptical having used a high street branded product which did not work. However, what did I have to loose a few more pounds or a some hundreds? | ovendoorglue: A common feature on some Hotpoint, Creda and Indesit ovens (they are all part of the same holding company), is that some of the models in the range have an inner glass that is intended to be removed for cleaning, but a rubber seal separates the glass from the metal. This rubber seal is intended to sit on a lip, sandwiched between the metal of the inner door, and the inner glass. Unfortunately, the seal will often pull away from the lip, and so the glass becomes loose. We have had customers tell us how infuriating this is as it keeps happening and the oven cannot be used when the seal pulls away. Some have tried buying a new seal, but the same thing happens. A simple solution is to glue the seal into position – onto the metal lip. If you only glue the seal to the metal lip, you can still remove the glass for cleaning. If you glue the seal to both the metal, and the glass, you will not be able to remove the glass for cleaning. |

Waste of money, the quantity supplied was ridiculously small, The door had a deep lip and required a bead of 5-6mm. I would have needed at least 3 tubes of what was supplied so after waiting 4 days for it to arrive I had to order from another company a full size tube which was less that the price of two minute ones from here and arrived the next day. |

The actual amount of glue needed does vary depending on the repair, and where the repair necessitates gluing around the entire panel the size of the glass will play a part, as well as the depth of adhesive needed. We provide guidance to this on the “Advice page“, we also provide a link to this advice from the product description on the home page, recommending customers looking to glue around a panel review it. Whilst some ovens may need the kit with extra tube, it is very rare that more than that is needed. At £7.99 for the kit with extra tube of adhesive this is excellent value for such a high quality adhesive. We do not doubt that larger and cheaper tubes of glue can be purchased, but they will so often end up in disappointment, and another repair with the associated inconvenience and expense. Again and again we hear from customers who have tried other glues, and found that only ours provided a long term repair (such as the review left on 4th July below, by Wendy Ball). You left your review a few days after purchase, however most reviews left on our site are 6-8 months after purchase, this is because we write to customers asking for a review only after at least 6 months have elapsed (we are currently writing to customers who purchased in January, and so 9-10 months ago). We wait this long because we have confidence in the long term success that our adhesive provides, asking customers to make a decision on the quality of a product after just a few days is unfair if it has only done its job for a few days. You placed your order at about 8.00pm on a Friday evening, and the kit was posted to you by 1st class post on the Monday, in line with our commitment. With a delivery on the Tuesday, this would account for the four days that you referred to for your wait. |

I tried to tighten the handle on my main oven not realising that the front of the door was glued to the back, this came away and I managed to find this kit. Best advice I found was to remove the whole door and glue on a flat surface. Take care when lining up the front to rear, any problems see the YouTube video. I did this over 3 months ago and it is still solid. Many thanks to ovenglue for not only a great product at a cheap price but for the excellent instructions provided. |

| ovendoorglue: Whilst Mrs Richards does not say, I suspect that the repair carried out was to a Zanussi, Hotpoint or Indesit Oven. It is common on some of the models of these ovens for the inner glass to sit on a rubber seal, with some small brackets then holding the glass in position, clamped down onto the seal. The problem is that the rubber seal that is sandwiched between the glass and the metal keeps slipping / pulling away. The inner glass then falls out because it is then loose. A bead of the oven seal adhesive will hold the seal permanently in position, so as to stop the seal from slipping, and the glass coming loose. We have helped a lot of owners of hotpoint and indesit ovens with this problem which I know from discussions with them, is infuriating. Many customers have purchased a new seal, hoping it will fix the problem – invariably, it doesn’t, which is why some feel that their only solution is a new oven. Thankfully, the oven seal glue will avoid that! |

| My oven was less than 2 years old when the seal broke. There is a small piece of metal that joined the ends of the rubber seal together which had separated.I followed the instructions for the glue which were very easy and decided to leave it for a couple of days to make sure it was dry although it doesn’t need this long. It’s done the job and saved me money, and still going strong after 6 months. Excellent stuff, wouldn’t hesitate to recommend. |

| My mums inner oven door glass slipped completely out and fortunately didn’t break. After checking various prices and parts, which were quite expensive I looked into the possibility of some sort of adhesive to fix it. I did a search and found this oven door glue and decided to give it a go before buying a new door. It arrived promptly. I followed the instructions which were clear and stuck the glass back to the frame. I have to say I was most impressed and even suprised by the result. The glass stuck to the frame very very strongly and remains that way after a year, with regular use. There is no sign of that changing either. This product has not only worked very well, it has done what it promised and saved money as well. For the price you cannot beat it and I would fully recommend its use if you need to fix an oven door. |

I used this sealer to reattach the handle that had come loose on its locating pin from the glass oven door,I put the silicone on the pin and the glass door and bonded the handle back on.Its now been 6 months since i used the product and it still feels secure and firmly in place, its very easy to use and i only used a small amount I was initially sceptical that it would work due to it being a silicone type product on a heated surface but it does the job very well happy to recommend the product |

Even though I am hopeless at DIY, with this excellent kit I managed to reseal the glass door which was hanging off my 10 year old oven,& its still going strong some 6 months later. I didn’t manage to remove the door as recommended as my oven is a bit cranky, but amazingly, by following the product instructions carefully I still applied the sealant and its worked perfectly. The oven door kit contained everything needed to reattach the hinges to the door. Still secure after six months use.
Before re-glueing the door I replaced the hinges, which had become stiff and were probably responsible for the failure of original bond. The ‘genuine spares’ added a couple of tenners to the overall cost of the repair, but the door feels like new now. The only non-obvious bit for my model is one needs a spacer to make sure the replacement layer of glue is thick enough to accommodate some differential expansion. In my case the original manufacturers’s spacer (transparent rubbery substance about 2mm thick) buried in the original black adhesive were in good enough condition to reuse. The only improvement I can suggest for the kit would be to include a piece of this ‘spacer’ material as I suspect that it is quite important for a long-lasting repair. Had I not been able to reuse the spacers I would have done the repair in two stages. Firstly using three blobs of glue about 2mm high and allowed to set to form the spacers. Then, completing the job and forming the bond on day 2. |

The glass had become detached at the left side of the lower oven. I searched online for info on how to remove the door and found this website. I ordered the glue kit and found it to be the answer to my prayers. Everything you could need is contained in the kit including very clear instructions. I re_glued the glass as instructed and have not had a problem since. I have no hesitation in recommending this site. I would add that it is advisable to check what caused the initial problem. In my case it was because the hinge was so badly worn and the glass caught under the metal strip below the door. New hinges cured the problem. |

I’ve used this glue twice in a very short space of time. Once to glue the oven door glass in place after my sister managed to rip it from its hinges (it was glued and she managed to dislodge it) – that was a number of years ago and the thing is still stuck fast! It’s used daily so it’s stood the test of time!
Most recently, the handle began to come loose and there is no way I can see to repair it so I though I would try gluing it. This was a number of months ago and it is showing no signs of letting go. Fabulous product with great service and, in the nicest way possible, I hope I don’t have to come back too soon – but if I need to – this is the first port of call, first time, every time. |

Our oven door hinge failed. Nowhere local knew how to repair it or had the necessary adhesive.
So I ordered the kit from this site. Delivery was very prompt. Undertaking the repair was easy itself (handy hint – watch the really helpful video on this site for how to remove the door!). I marked the hinge position with masking tape before removing the old one. The instructions in the kit were clear and easy to follow. After the necessary 24 hours for adhesive curing, the door is now back on and the oven has been in use for the last week with a door that isn’t loose! |

ovendoorglue: It is possible to use the kit to glue glass where it is held with brackets that are glued to the glass, or where you need to glue around the full perimeter of the glass. When gluing around the full perimeter of the glass the quantity of adhesive needed will depend on the size of the piece of glass, and also the depth of bead if the glass does not sit flush. We generally recommend a bead of adhesive 5mm wide and 2mm deep when gluing around the perimeter of the glass. | The over door which is of glass and stainless steeI delaminated causing it to buckle when hot. I priced a repair kit from Hotpoint which was a ridiculously high price (over £40) I purchased a kit from you and re glued the area without forcing the steel off the glass cleaned it carfully (essential) then worked the glue into the gap the excess was removed from the face. I then used masking tape to hold it in place overnight. The result was amazing better than expected and is still firmly fixed since July this year with regular daily use of the oven. The job took no more than 20 mins and used only a very small amount of the adhesive. |

My only issues was that i had to order a second batch due to the size of my oven door and the fact thats there is a recess to fill which meant one tube was not enough. Once the second lot arrived I completed the job quickly and easily and have found the reults to be top class. Highly recommended. |

| ovendoorglue: Please note that whilst the kit was primarily intended for gluing the brackets onto the glass – brackets typically glue to the glass then screw to the oven door to hold the glass in place on many ovens, we have noted that many customers are using the high strength adhesive to glue the glass directly to the door where this is the original method of fixing. The high temperature adhesive is perfectly suited to this task but the quantity supplied in a single tube may be insufficient for larger pieces of glass, we suggest larger than 1200mm circumference, (or if there is a recess to be filled). We have provided further guidance for when gluing around the full perimeter of the glass in the advice page advice page, and have now added the option of purchasing an extra tube of adhesive at the same time as the kit for only £3.00 (use the drop down box on the item page to make your selection). | This is a great product.When the glass mounting failed on my Mother’s oven she was expecting to replace the whole oven but I saw the adhesive kit on the internet and ordered it,not fully expecting it to work. How wrong was I – and how delighted was she !!. Providing you follow the instructions properly you will have success. I have recently repaired a second door and give this product 5 stars for both quality and value for money. The speed of delivery was excellent as well. |

In my case the drop down door hinges had worn thus allowing the glass to foul the metalwork when the door was opened. | ovendoorglue: The adhesive cures to form a material with high elasticity (an essential property for the oven door repairs where glass and metal will expand when heated) and, added to its high temperature characteristics, provides an excellent repair for oven door gaskets and seals. We have had many customers use the kit to repair dangling or split oven door seals and rubbers. We would recommend that the seal is held in place with masking tape at intervals, across the seal, whilst the adhesive cures, rather than closing the door to hold it in place – unless you are certain that no adhesive can get onto the opposite face, otherwise you might find your door glued shut! |

| This really does work – having unsuccessfully used other glues I was just about to give up hope then googled this. The only thing that was keeping the glas connected to the metal was the two screws on the handle. I removed the oven door – cleaned off all the old glue and ensured the surfaces were clean – I then applied as per the instructions – left to dry for 48hrs – just to be on the safe side then refitted the door – touch wood the door has remained stuck and is better then ever – I would highly recommend this glue and if you’ve tried the rest – like me – then I suggest you try the best – great product – saved me buying a new door or worse cooker….. |

| This kit was fantastic, the tip for positioning the hinges worked a treat. I had my hinges refitted within 15 minutes and saved myself £80 (the price of a new oven door). | This kit is extremely easy to use. It comes with a scaper which is ideal to remove the old glue completely which is important. Finally a wipe with the enclosed alcohol wipe makes the surfaces chemically clean. The glue itself is easy to use, just push the syringe to apply the glue to the hinge, about 2mm thickness, lower the glass door onto the hinge and add some weight. I left it in situ on the dining table for 24Hrs as recommended and its a perfect repair. Wifey very impressed with me as I am of the kit. Recommended buy, fantastic price too. Much much cheaper than a new door. By the way, a local repair shop wanted to charge me £20 to repair the door, so as you can appreciate its an excellent saving. |

I was impressed with the next day delivery, and with the complete kit – gloves, scraper, cleaning cloth and glue. We (it took 2 pairs of hands) glued the glass door back on the top oven and are very happy with the result. |

GREAT Product. All you need is included in the kit and all the correct quantity to. The two metal plates on our Hotpoint Oven came clean away from the glass on the door so high temperature sealant is needed. I removed the plates, cleaned down the glass and used the sealant to stick them back down again. Hours later they were SOLID! You can buy a massive tube for over £6-£7 but that much is no way needed, so this kit was PERFECT! |

| Kit allows perfect cleaning, which is most essential for good results. A tip is to use masking or similar tape to locate the position across the door bottom, hinging down to apply the adheshive and the swing back to the correct location before appyling pressure while the adhesive sets. The completed door fitted back without any problems. Of particular note is the adhesive applicator which allows for the easy exchange from stopper to applicator nozzle, really neat! |
