I used the glue as directed and it worked perfectly. The glue is till holding the glass oven door in place even though the door gets closed with some force sometimes. The iittle scraper was also great for taking off the old glue. I would recommend this glue to anyone with a glass over door.

I broke the little plastic clips on the bottom of my oven door that holds the glass in, I nearly fainted with shock when I realised how much a new door would cost. I looked online for oven glue on the off chance there was such a thing and found this product. To be honest I didn’t think it would work, but it was so cheap I decidedc to give it a try. I was really thrilled with the results because it worked perfectly. The only downside is I now can’t remove the glass to clean on the inside because it’s firmly glued in, but that’s my own fault and minor compared to the fact I didn’t have to buy a whole new oven door. I thoroughly recommend this product.

Ordered Oven Door glue back in April 2015. I used to repair a seal that had gone faulty, it was only to be a temporary repair, however, it has worked so well that I never bothered replacing it. The oven is a fan oven so there is a bit more pressure than you would have on the seal in a non-fan oven.

This high temperature oven door adhesive & repair kit was exactly what I had been looking for to repair the seal on my oven door which had come away. You need to ensure that the seal and door are thoroughly clean and give it time to cure. Also if the seal is under tension, it will need fixing whilst the adhesive is drying.

It worked perfectly and has been a solid seal for many months now – thoroughly recommended.

it is possible, with the aid of a dent puller / glass sucker to refit the inner
glass with the door still attached to the oven, it is not the easiest way to do
so if the glass has fallen or is flapping into the oven door. Unless you are fortunate
enough to have an oven where the glass simply sits on the inner part of the door
when it is open (most ovens are glazed from within the door panel) we recommend that
the oven door is removed and the front fascia taken off where possible to allow
proper cleaning of the area to be glued, and so that the glass can sit horizontal
on a table whilst curing. We provide advice on how the door can be removed from
most ovens, and how the fascia panel can then be removed on the Advice
page. The page also gives guidance on the quantity of adhesive needed where gluing
around the perimeter of the panel.

I used this to ‘remount the door glass panel on my large oven, which had come unstuck. With this sort of thing you need to allow sufficient time, and by following the instructions to the letter an excellent repair was achieve. There was sufficient glue left to enable me to use on the other oven door which on closer inspection was going to have a similar problem as it was getting loose. This product saved me a small fortune and both oven doors remain in fact. Very happy with this product and glad I found a long term solution that probably without I would have had to consider buying a new cooker, as two doors in excess with delivery Inc,> £300.

Fantastic stuff. I purchased the oven door glue to repair the glass door on our oven. This involved sticking metal to glass which it did perfectly. Some 10 months later it’s still holding and the door is in daily use.

I also had to replace the rubber door seal. I got a new rubber seal off ebay but I could not get the fiddly little hooks to hold it on. Then I remembered I still had some oven door glue left and a few dabs of that fixed the seal in place perfectly (I used tape to hold the seal in place while the glue set). If I ever have to replace the seal on the other oven I won’t mess about trying to get the hooks to work, I’ll just glue it with this stuff.

In short highly recommended.

One side of the metal outer panel of the door had detached from the inner glass portion. I used the kit 9 months ago to reattach the panels; the repair was very easy, following the included instructions. I bought this kit to try to mend our oven door which was coming away from the hinge mechanism. It was good to have everything together in the kit, though a couple of extra wipes would have been handy .. because.. when I first tried, with the door in situ on the oven it unfortunately didn’t work well. Only following a bit of googling on removing the door, was I able to really get at everything, give it a good clean and then perform the repair using proper clamps to keep everything in place. Once I had done so it worked a treat, and is still in great condition.

tbh its several months since repair using this kit so memory a biy vague, but solution to bracket failure was a couple of small right angle brackets from homebase, which i glued to back of glass door and screwed into frame.
brittania woukd have charged over £100 pounds for a new small oven door.. didnt sell broken brackets on their own.

The kit is quite simply brilliant. The brackets on our doors had managed to come away from the glass meaning we couldn’t shut the door.

The kit had everything that we needed to clean and prepare the surface for putting the hinges back in place.

They have now been working for at least 6 months and all is well.

This kit supplied was complete with the glue in a syringe, gloves and spatula. The glue is thinly spread over the the required area of both parts and kept together with light clamps. Wait 24 hours and job done.

It’s rather messy to do, and it’s difficult to stop the strip from retracting (as it often needs to be under tension to reach the four corners). Best to do a practice run before applying the glue with strong tape to make sure the rubber will actually be held in place while the curing is performed. Make sure you have pre-cut strips of tape handy as the glue would otherwise get on the scissors / knife. Still holding up well 6 months later, and saved a considerable amount on the cost of a replacement seal.

I have now used this glue twice:
First to glue the inner glass back in place on the main oven. Second time to glue the metal clamp that holds the glass in place on the smaller oven as the bolt had fractured. Product cannot be faulted. My wife had sprained the oven door brackets which had to be removed from the door to be straightened. I did this and glued them back on using the oven door glue kit. It was excellent and did the job perfectly. If you are doing this, mark the positions of the brackets before removing them. Accuracy is paramount.

The glue cures using moisture in the air acting as a catalyst, as it cures acetic acid is produced (vinegar which has its characteristic smell due to acetic acid in vinegar). Once fully cured – we recommend allowing 24 hours for curing, the smell will completely dissipate. Once fully cured the glue is odourless and no fumes are given off, even when oven is hot.

Very easy to use and excellent instructions, which MUST be followed to the letter – then it works fine ! I failed to line up the runners that the inner glass nests in, and had to start again, there was just enough glue for this, fortunately.
Very pleased with the result, oven is now far from new and the repair has given it a lease of life that will keep it going until kitchen re-design in the future. It’s a pity Belling don’t recognise the issue with their doors however, and solve the problem at source !! I recommend this product as fully as I can.

I got this in March this year, all I can say is it did what it claims to do. The rubber seal was off on my oven door, hanging on by the metal clips at the corners, the shops here (Dublin) told me it could not be fixed with anything, so buy a new seal or oven door!! I came across oven door glue, and it is the business, does what it says, I can’t praise it enough, also, while I was looking on the page, the chap who runs it, was in the chat thing to the side of the page, I asked him many questions, he was clear and helpful. Please please don’t hesitate to buy it, I am always wary of buying based on other reviews, but honestly, you will not be disappointed, my oven seal is still going great and it was really easy to use, not sure about other ovens but I didn’t need to remove my door, just glued the seal on and stuck bits of duct tape around the edges to keep in place then removed later, no problems at all

ovendoorglue: If you have a pull down oven door, we recommend that the door is removed to carry out the repair. In most cases the door can be removed fairly quickly. We have provided a video to show the four most common types of door hinge used on pull down oven doors, and how the door can be removed. Please see the Oven Door Removal Video. If you feel your hinge does not look like any of those featured, you are welcome to take a clear closeup photo of the hinge and email it to us for further advice. With the door off the repair can be carried out flat on a table, which generally makes life a lot easier, and does away with the need for clamps and an open oven door taking up space in the kitchen. If your door is sideways opening we would recommend that generally the door is left in position (clamps may be necessary). This is because the screws that hold the door to the oven on side opening doors will often screw into a retaining plate which is within the oven casing. These sometimes drop when the screws are removed, meaning there is nothing to screw back into when the door is refitted.

I bought a second hand Belling Range and when it arrived I found the seals around the fan oven door to be sagging quite a bit; rather than replace the seal entirely I thought I’d try gluing the seal back in position (allowing a little give)…this glue worked perfectly! It was so easy to use, dried really quickly and, almost a year later, is still set firm. I’ve even got a little left over should any of the other seals require attention. Highly recommended.

Good kit ,was a little skeptical about it working out as didnt even realise this is how oven doors are fixed on, but has been a good solid fix, now about a year on and still holding well.
Old glue was not that hard to clear with the tool even though it looks as though it going to be a pain, then put new on and compressed it under the microwave over night. Job done.

This cooker had a seal with rounded corners but one of the metal clips had pulled through the rubber leaving quite a large hole. Bought one of those universal oven door seals but it needed glue to join its ends together. Bought this glue for that but found that I could repair the old seal by glueing the metal clip in place then using the glue like filler to close up the hole. Magic!

I purchased this glue because getting a new door wasn’t possible, so I figured nothing to lose and all to gain.
I am at best sceptical about any forms of glues versus mechanical fixings but the door is as good as new 9 months on from the repair.
My tip would be read and follow the instructions (we all do that anyway. Don’t we?) and before applying the glue try and mark exactly where it should sit so the door lines up on refitting. Don’t rush it and don’t refit it to quickly, let it cure, and all will be good. Fortune saved and lots of Brownies. I can’t rate this highly enough.

The cooker has a glass cover over the control knobs, each end of the cover slots into a grooved plastic end piece.
Each plastic piece has a lug which fits into a hole on each side of the cooker
which allows for the glass cover to be lifted for ease of access to the control knobs when the cooker is in use. The right hand plastic piece got broken in two so the glass cover couldn’t be used. The cooker is over ten yrs. old and a search for a spare part proved fruitless which led me to look for alternatives. Internet searches for heat resistant glue led to your website. I ordered your product which promptly arrived, by following your simple instructions I was then able to glue the plastic together and glue it onto the glass cover. The glass cover was put back in place and is working as before.

full perimeter. If you are gluing around the full perimeter of the glass a single

What can I say, I received all the correct advise I needed to fix my oven door.

The glue kit worked perfectly (and still is months later) it saved me a small fortune. I spent under £10 (cant remember exactly how much) as opposed to quotes of £100 to £150 ish for new doors.

If you are in any doubt about this product or the company who sells it DONT be they were great as is their product.

I used this to fix two new hinges to my belling oven door. You have to make sure you get the right hinges. Also the front panel came off my built in Hotpoint dishwasher . I remembered I had some of the glass glue left and used it to fix the glass panel into place. My dishwasher has been in since 1986 and is still ok. My oven is the second since 1986 but I googled how to replace the hinges before trying to buy them. I just thought if it doesn’t work I haven’t wasted that much. Cheaper than buying a new oven and dishwasher.

As with all the other reviews it worked, should i have been surprised! I was attaching 2 stainless steel brackets to a glass front which located the glass panel. Before removing the brackets completely i marked the position of the bracket, the section that was proud of the glass, this helped when locating when the glue was applied. After holding in place for 3 mins i held it in place using masking tape it whilst it cured. The 22 year old cooker lives on.

I was considering buying a new cooker after the glass became very loose. Belling had told me they could not supply a new door as as it was discontinued & advised against glueing the glass back onto the door. Nontheless, I found & tried Oven Door Glue. The two internal lights in the oven were out so being a good husband decided to change the bulbs.The first one no problem.The second lens cover came out but left a broken base. The lens cover was ok but there was no way it would secure when put back.
Does not sound major, but the oven could not be turned on with exposed socket open to heat.
Anyway,the oven glue kit did the job of rebuilding the base and saving about £70 for a new socket assy.

Re-attached the glass pane to my oven earlier this week and so far so good. The adhesive bond appears to be very effective – the door definitely resists twisting better.

I bought two kits as a precaution but one was more than adequate – I’m going to try re-attaching a seal as per Mr Grainger’s experience.

In my case, the glass was attached to the metal door frame by a sealant/ adhesive which also surrounded (about 5mm wide) the perimeter of the glass thereby centring it in the aperture. I retained this surround by careful use of the scraper. If I had removed it the quantity of adhesive provided in the kit would not be sufficient to replace it.

My only minor criticism would be the the scraper; the instructions are written in black on a black background – hey, what is this, some kind of galactic hyper-hearse?

The kit came with full instructions and was really easy to use.

Its important to mark clearly where to glue the brackets back on. I tried the suggested cardboard template but ti didn’t really work with the shape of my brackets so I used masking tape instead.

Also think about where to store the door and how to apply pressure whilst the glue dries – too much and the layer might be too thin, too little and you can have air bubbles underneath – because it takes several hours to set.

I gave my door 36 hours to be safe and all seems to be fine.

The glass had completely come the main oven door of our Ariston, and the oven door glue worked brilliantly!

I definitely think it’s one of those jobs where the more preparation you do, the better it will turn out, na sit was really helpful to be ale to find instructions on how to take the door completely off. I would definitely advise this as you really want to make sure both the glass and frame are squeaky clean before applying the glue and letting it cure for 24 hours flat.

It was like getting a new over again!

Would definitely recommend it!

Problem solved! Glass on inside of the oven came off. I followed the instructions that came with the product with particular care regarding cleaning surfaces to be glued. I didn’t take the door off the oven improvising with a wet plunger tied to the oven hood to keep sufficient pressure applied to the glass. (Probably not text book way to approach the job but it worked for me!) That was about six months ago and the problem seems to be fixed as the oven is used almost daily as my expanding waste can testify. I would highly highly recommend the product and delivery / payment service without any reservation.

Used 2 tubes of glue and just had enough as the groove around the opening was quite deep so third tube recommended. Repair done 3 months ago and no problems since. Important to fully clean the glass surface being glued and remove all grease from both surfaces to get good strong bond. Recommended product and excellent service provided.

It is several months since I replaced the inner glass panel on our Ariston oven, the glass is still firmly in place and I am pleased to recommend you oven door glue kit the. Ariston door has a metal bead of about 3mm. around the opening so I used 3 tubes of glue to ensure a good 4mm. bead of glue around the opening to ensure a continuous bond.The job was relatively easy, the only difficulty was in separating the inner and outer parts if the door which took a bit of brute force. I am very happy with the result.

The instructions for the adhesive recommended removing all old sealant.
This I did but it meant that there was only a small rim of the oven door where the adhesive could be spread. I had grave doubts that this small area of adhesive would fasten the glass sufficiently but after 6 months it is still holding. Personally I would have left the old sealant on and spread the adhesive over a larger area.

We bought the kit and spare glue but didn’t use it for nearly four months. The first tube of glue didn’t work but I think that was because we waited too long to use it. The scraper was fantastic. The glue didn’t go off immediately on the door and we held it in place for over 24 hours. However it is now stuck in and working well. We are very pleased with the solution for the money.

Exactly as described – ideal for reglueing oven doors.

I repaired my girlfriends ariston oven with the oven door glue back in June. The kit is great, the scraper was realy usefull and worked perfectly to clean of residue. I left the glue 24 hors befor reassembling to make sure that is was as resilient as possible.I also bought a bottle of alcohol tue be sure that the door and glass were 100% grease free before reglueing.

Comprehensive kit with good instructions.
Tip: Note original position of metal mountings on glass face and mark with pencil in order to reposition as accurately as possible. Approx 20 minutes after glueing carefully reassemble front glass panel into metal housing to confirm alignment of newly adhered brackets to glass before glue sets firmly. Leave to oven door to dry in a horizontal position overnight before refitting to oven housing.

Worked extremely well. One bracket had fallen off and the other was loose. I took a fair bit of trouble to remove the old adhesive and to get everything clean. Needed only a small amount of the adhesive and the door is as good as new. Recommended.

ovendoorglue: Cleaning well is of course important… But it is the quality and correct characteristics of the glue that are also key to a long term repair! Time after time we hear from customers that have found us only after having tried and failed with other glues and sealants that they thought might work – from epoxies (soften at too low a temperature), to car windscreen glues (not recommended!) right through to stove cements (too brittle) and high temperature sealants (not strong enough as an adhesive). Doing the job properly is about both the preparation and the correct materials used.

I have been very happy with the oven door glue used to stick two plastic brackets to the inside of my glass oven door. I had been informed that the oven doors were no longer available so the glue has been a life saver for what is a very good oven. the kit was received in good time and the instructions were clear to follow. I was unsure whether it would do the trick but having read reviews was pleased I had made the right choice as several months on and with the oven used daily my brackets are still fixed firmly to the glass. I had a problem with the horizontal front door for the upper over/grill. The glass frontage had become partially detached from one of the plastic “holding” hinges holding it in place. (Partially = completely detached on one side.) I got in the internet and found a few options, though liked the price and description from “over door glue” . I placed the order, it was easy and delivery was as expected.By the time the kit arrived, the other hinge was coming away from the glass frontage. Instructions were complete and easy to follow. I used all the tools in the kit. I did remove the 2nd plastic hinge, which wasn’t difficult. Took the time to re-align (I made an exact note of their positions using a ruler from edge of glass frontage) I added the glue, positioned both plastic hinges, let glue go off and reattached glass to front of oven door. All’s good, hinges were in right position 🙂 and fitted lovely. I have glue left over, should I need to reuse it, but doesn’t look likely as first attempt is holding nicely 🙂

Was so glad to find this website and my email sent late in the evening requesting advice was replied to straight away. My glue arrived within a day of ordering and the instructions were easy to follow. I used this to stick plastic brackets onto the outside glass panel of both my top and bottom ovens and so far so good! Although the glass was brown I used the clear variety as this was what appeared to have been used in the first instance. Thank you – this has revived an old cooker.

I repaired my oven door seal a few months ago and the seal has stayed in place since then. I also repaired some tears in the seal and these hold as well. It’s a wonderful product that does it’s job as described. I still had about half of the tube left and I am keeping this in the fridge for possible future repairs (although I don’t know how long shelf life is).

Some small gaps had appeared between the interior glass and metal door surround which allowed moisture and grease to enter.
After taking the door apart; thoroughly cleaning and then reassembling, the glue was used to seal the gaps, which it appears to have done most satisfactorily. The various tools provided with the kit proved to be very useful.

When the retaining clip for the glass door of my oven came off I immediately thought new door.How wrong was I ! .A quick look on the internet and you will soon find “ovendoorglue.co.uk”. The kit which arrived very quickly was excellent.Full and detailed instructions are included and provided these are followed you should have no problems.
If you have difficulty with positioning clip/s in the right position, I would suggest outlining the area with masking tape before removing all the old adhesive. Hope this helps.

The glue is perfect for the job and saved me buying a new door. I managed to do the repair without taking the door apart by using a suction toothpaste holder on the glass kept taught by sliding a wooden spoon under it that kept tension and sealed the glue in one day.

Double Oven. One of the bottom oven door hinges came adrift a few weeks ago. Same happened on top oven 2 years ago. Only remedy offered by manufacturers was buy a new door at £120 from distributers 20 miles away which at the time I was forced to do. This time found this glue and has worked perfectly.

This kit was bought to reattach the glass in the door of an AEG double oven. The kit is superb and supplies everything you need for the job. My only criticism is that I could have done with 5ml more of the product to do the job to my satisfaction, so a 15ml syringe would be a better option for oven glass repairs. (that’s the only reason for losing one star) 10ml should be plenty for hinge reattachments though.
